Remote Computer Help and Lessons

Are your employees having trouble setting up work from home or need help when doing so?

Do you have an isolated family member who needs help setting up video calls on their computer or tablet?

Call us and we can help them to get set up and going over the phone, until they can use the video call or remote access program comfortably.

Affordable Rates

From April 1 to June 30, 2020, we will be offering a special low rate of $75 per hour plus HST for remote computer help or computer lessons. This is in order to minimize costs for companies and individuals affected by the Covid-19 crisis.

Terms:
All engagements have to be paid for in advance online.
Each session is $75 per hour before applicable HST taxes.
The client must have a reliable telephone line and high speed internet.

How does it work?
There are two steps, initial setup and the subsequent lessons:

The client should have a phone which they can use for the first setup session, if possible on speaker phone.
We will call the client and guide them through the process of installing Zoom on their laptop or tablet.
After Zoom is installed, we will send them a meeting invitation by email. They simply click on the link to join the meeting, with the tutor guiding them on the phone.
The tutor and the client then start the training session. The tutor will ask the client to click on “Share Screen”, which allows the tutor to see the client’s desktop view and teach them using their own device. The tutors can also show the client short videos if necessary.
The client can end the meeting at any time, you are in control.
Each session is usually an hour, 1.5 hours maximum. As our clients are elderly, some manage to follow instructions and get everything set up quickly, for others it might take longer.
Additional notes and handouts can be sent out after each topic by email.
Subsequent lessons: the client just needs to click on the Zoom meeting invitation hyperlink, which will go to their Zoom program and join the automatically allows them to join the meeting/lesson.
Our rates are reasonable, $75/hr, plus HST. An invoice will be sent by email and can be paid online or by mailing a check.

At the end of the session, simply log off.
