We are living in an age where your knowledge of technology is critical for senior citizens to help them with simple, everyday tasks and enjoy a better quality of life. There are now more seniors in Canada than children. Statistics Canada reports that in there are now 5.9 million adults over 65 compared to 5.8 million Canadians 14 and under. There was a 20% increase in the number of people over 65 since 2011. As technology changes and we enter the age of driverless cars, the internet of things and artificial intelligence, the need to teach seniors technology has never been greater. Our Approach Seniors Tech Services has developed a comprehensive training program for seniors to learn technology. We believe the best starting point is helping seniors to learn computer skills and then become comfortable with smartphones, tablets and other wireless devices. Some of the basic computer courses we offer are:
Technology for Seniors We also offer enhanced technology training for smart devices that are now available on the market to help seniors monitor their health, reminders, read small print, avoid falls, call for help easily in a medical emergency and avoid wandering. We are excited to journey with seniors, teaching them new technology, starting by providing computer lessons for seniors for seniors in Toronto at home or in groups. |
